Under the "ABE Initiative (African Business Education Initiative)" program, 7 people returned to Egypt with master degrees from Japanese universities for the first time. On December 13, 2017, JICA Egypt Office hosted the reporting session, inviting the returned participants of the program and guests.
ABE Initiative Program, which provides young personnel with opportunities for master's degree programs and internships for the purpose of supporting the sustainable economic development in African continent. JICA is expecting this program to contribute to strengthening network between Egypt and Japan. Under this program, 65 Egyptian were dispatched to Japan so far.
At the beginning, they faced difficulties in Japanese culture and environment that are very different from Egypt. However, they have learnt a lot of Japanese style such as punctuality and teamwork through their studies, daily lives and internships at Japanese enterprises.
